After doing the radio show for more than a year, we havent gotten much negative response from what we do. There was one guy when we first started, but not really anything after that….until now. This time it was focused diectly on me! This is the message we recieved from one of our listeners on itunes:

Good podcast, but…

I wonder about Jordan as one of the hosts. He is a right-wing zealot, who I imagine listens to Rush Linbaugh on his way to and from the studio. An obvious Bush lover (and we remember how far HE sent science back) who once asked a guest if her paranormal magazine was right or left leaning. (???) And in the same show commented that he never liked a SINGLE thing Obama ever said until he called Kanye West a “jackass.” A show like this demands hosts with open minds, and Jordan obviously lacks that. One wonders if eventually it will be difficult for them to get any good guests on their show.

So…yeah. I’m not gonna lie, I’m a bit upset. For those of you who listen to the show each week, you know that I joke around a lot and try to throw in some random one liners. I am who I am, I don’t put on any front while on the radio, and for being conservative, I think I’m pretty open minded. I think that my conversations with past guests proves my point. I’m sorry that this individual listened to 1 show where I happened to make 2 references to politics (in joke form) and made a harsh judgment call. For the record, I’ve never listened to Rush Linbaugh…wasn’t a Bush lover (google Bohemian Grove and you’ll see why) and I admitted to agreeing with something Obama said so am I really a “right-wing zealot?”

We had a Great church service today, one of my dad’s good friends came to minister. His name is Tony Sutherland, you can check him out at tonysutherland.com

His message today was on God’s grace, and how we as Christians think that we have to continually try to please God  when in reality he is always pleased with us…it’s not our works that is pleasing to him. It’s our submission. I won’t go too far into it so if your interested and want to find out more, go to his website….email him…and check out his BLOG! He is also an AMAZING musician and Worship leader! Well worth checking out.

I won’t be able to be on the show this week, so Nick and Lola will be without me

My band West Finley is going to be going on a week long tour…playing camps and churches and I will be obligated to be playing music at the same time the show will be on.

The drive home was looooooong

I finished my audio book, The Green Mile, and almost finished another, Rose Madder
I have like an hour left on that one

I got home around midnight…it is nice being home…

Now its time to get ready for the show tonight

Today we got together for one last hurrah
…ate up some leftovers
..and went to the beach

I’ve said it before, but it was great meeting this part of my family, they are all great people
I finally got a group pic….it isn’t of everybody, but its all of us that went to the beach.
(special thanks to the nice lady that volunteered to take our picture!)

I guess this is the official LAST DAY for my little trip, I drive home tomorrow.
It will take me about 12 hours, so be praying that I make it home safe!

Today was a great day, I was able to spend time with family I was just meeting and they are all great people!
We had a cookout and even cooked crabs!
(we are from MD so they were cooked RIGHT)
AND even though I have developed this shellfish allergy over the last few years, I grabbed one of my moms Epi-Pens and ate a little anyway
(I didn’t need to use it, I didn’t eat much…didn’t want to risk it)

Afterward I went with some of my cousins to the beach, one of my cousins wanted to get a piercing…
the little flappy thing inside her ear…I don’t know whats it’s called
(she screamed)
Then we walked along the main street at Myrtle to check out the stores
…for the record, NOWHERE has public bathrooms…unless you buy something!!

Tomorrow we are going to go to the beach again before they all have to go back to Savannah GA

I said I was going to post a pic of everybody…but I didn’t get one….
I did however steal a pic off of someone else’s camera because I thought you would all enjoy it

Today was a fun day,
a lot of my family came in today for tomorrow’s reunion.
It was nice meeting them all, It’s a shame that I have never met this part of my family until now.

We all went out for the evening, my cousins are a fun bunch!
I’ll get a picture of everyone for tomorrow…I’m way too tired to try to find one now

Today I was unfortunate enough to wake up early so that I could move furniture so that the carpet cleaners could….well, clean the carpets…my bed being the couch made it difficult to return to my slumber after the ordeal.

Today we also started cooking for Family Reunion #2 which happenes Saturday. Ive actually never met most of this side of my family, so I’m pretty excited about it!

ALSO we got all my brothers stuff moved into his new apartment….thought it was going to be put off for the whole week HAHA

I forgot to mention yesterday….so I’ll do it now
One of my best friends Clint and his wife had their baby, Lauren Shay, yesterday. 6lbs 19 inches
You have heard Clint before, our opening song for the show was written and performed by him…
he is also one of my band mates and drummer for “West Finley”

Send all your positive thoughts a needed prayers to them, new babies can be pretty life changing
