Tonight on Whispers we welcome John Geiger and F. Paul Wilson.
John Geiger was born in Ithaca, New York, and graduated in history from the University of Alberta. The author of five books of non-fiction, his work has been translated into nine languages. He is Editorial Board Editor at The Globe and Mail, and a Senior Fellow at Massey College, University of Toronto. We will be discussing his latest book The Third Man Factor. The Third Man Factor is a biography of an extraordinary idea: That people at the very edge of death, often adventurers or explorers, experience a sense of an incorporeal being beside them who encourages them to make one final effort to survive.
F. Paul Wilson is a NY Time Bestselling author of the Repairman Jack series. Wilson grew up in New Jersey where he misspent his youth playing with matches, poring over Uncle Scrooge and E.C. comics, reading HP Lovecraft, Richard Matheson, Ray Bradbury, and Robert Heinlein. He is the author of more than forty books and the winner of the Prometheus Award and the Libertarian Futurist Society’s Hall of Fame Award. We will be discussing his latest Repairman Jack book, Ground Zero.
